Temperatures finally dropped on the East Coast this past week, and nobody was quicker to pivot their wardrobe accordingly than Williamsburg’s most alluring couple, Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum.
The pair, who were spotted out in Brooklyn this week, seem to have a very simpatico approach to couples dressing, as though they simply rolled out from their respective sides of the bed, the only thing on the agenda being to go fetch coffees and pop into a few stores, and just so happened to throw on blissfully coordinated outfits in the process. For this particular stroll, they selected tonal shades of brown: she wearing a pair of walnut-brown, wide-legged corduroys and classic black Adidas Sambas (the most important shoe of summer, and now fall); he, in a pair of ruddy-brown work pants, sepia suede slip-on shoes, an unadulterated-espresso-brown button-down shirt, and, the pièce de résistance, an ochre-toned beanie folded up in his hand—presumably in case it gets nippy, which it tends to do around this time of year.
(And if you, too, are thinking, Wow, they really nailed it with this earthy color palette, they should always dress like this, you’re in luck, because they very much have dressed like this before.)
The pair made headlines last summer, not only for making a preternaturally attractive and pleasant-vibes couple, but also an especially well-dressed one at that. They made their debut in the heat of August 2021, Channing’s hulking frame charmingly in tandem with Zoë on his little BMX bike. Kravitz (the child of another uniquely attractive couple, Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz) seems to have helped guide Tatum on his fashion journey over the years, telling him, at one point, to stop wearing Crocs. Now the leaves have turned again, and they’ll be gearing up for a joint press tour soon enough: Tatum is starring in Kravitz’s directorial debut, a thriller firmly titled Pussy Island, that’s due out in 2023. Don’t you just love this time of year?
