Sabrina Rodriguez joins The Post as national political reporter

Announcement from National Editor Matea Gold, Deputy National Editor Philip Rucker, Senior Politics Editor Dan Eggen and Deputy National Politics Editor Vanessa Williams:

We are delighted to announce that Sabrina Rodriguez is joining The Post to take on a new beat covering voters and the changing American electorate for the National politics team.

In this role, she will chronicle the evolving demographics in battleground states and the ways candidates, campaigns and interest groups seek to mobilize voter blocs large and small.

Sabrina comes to The Post from the White House team at Politico, where she has worked since 2017 covering multiple beats. In her previous role as a national political correspondent, Sabrina focused on Latino voters, Latinos in politics and immigration. She also covered trade policy under the Trump administration, including the negotiations of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement.

Her work has also been featured in Chalkbeat New York, Miami New Times, the Miami Herald and Diario Perfil in Buenos Aires. She was named one of the National Press Foundation’s Paul Miller Washington Reporting Fellows.

Sabrina starts on September 19.
