SAN DIEGO — In this exclusive video with Healio, Iffath Abbasi Hoskins, MD, the president-elect of ACOG, discusses the key initiative of her presidency year.

Hoskins, who is also a clinical professor and director of patient safety in the department of OB/GYN at the NYU School of Medicine, plans to prioritize physician mental health.

“To me, mental health is extremely important,” she said.

“The overarching goal is going to be destigmatizing and normalizing mental health,” Hoskins added.

Her inauguration ceremony will conclude the ACOG Annual Clinical & Scientific Meeting. Hoskins will be the college’s 73rd president.
