Toronto-based producer/investor Productivity Media (PMI) has taken a minority stake in  Vancouver’s Wind Sun Sky Entertainment (WSS), and the two companies will collaborate to create new kids and family content together.

The focus for both partners is on multiplatform animated series in the vein of WSS’s virtual summer camp brand Camp Bonkers, which launched in 2020 and offers music and arts & crafts programs for kids on a variety of platforms. The IP currently boasts a Roblox game, an app and a live-action series that all offer educational and interactive camp-style activities. And last year, WSS also launched My Singing Monsters Fandemonium, an interactive animated series based on the mobile game My Singing Monsters that was created using the Unity real-time game engine.

PMI’s catalogue mostly features adult programming, with a sprinkling of family-friendly titles such as drama feature film Buckley’s Chance (2021). The investment and partnership with WSS gives PMI the opportunity to expand that side of its business with a seasoned partner, according to CEO William Santor in a release.
