Gerald Carpenter: Quire of Voyces Sing of Sacred Love | Arts & Entertainment

Nathan Kreitzer and his Quire of Voyces choral ensemble want us to know they have missed singing for us as much as we have missed hearing them.

They are back in force for their Spring Concerts, called Sacred Love, at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 28, and 3 p.m. Sunday, May 29, both in the St. Anthony’s Chapel of the Garden Street Academy, 2300 Garden St.

(Note: Saturday’s concert is at 3 pm, which is a change from the traditional evening concert.)

That is all I know about this concert, except that I know Nathan Kreitzer well enough to trust his taste completely. The theme of Sacred Love”suggests a rich tapestry of musical caritas, but speculation would not be productive of anything but (possibly) misdirected pedantry.

The best way to find out more about this concert is to attend, and read the program notes from cover to cover.

Tickets to this concert will be available at the door 30 minutes before each concert. For more information about the Quire, their concerts, and their current COVID-19 policies, visit them online at
